Where the podcast art came from
In 2014, I went through a divorce. It was one of those ugly, horrid, sad things.
During this time, my inner voice was bursting at the seams with a desire to not just be heard, but also deeply understood.
For so long, I felt disconnected from my voice. Through the divorce, I found my voice and started painting as a visual way to express myself.
The original piece shows a little girl holding a string with a balloon in the shape of a mouth, representing her voice/.
This piece is a visual depiction of how we go along our days and lives holding on for dear life, to our own voice, desires, emotions, hopes, needs and so much more.
As I started creating the podcast, the image of my artwork came to mind over and over again, until one morning I realized this is it. This piece is truly the best representation of Blooped, what I stand for, and what I hope others find their way to … Truth.
